The Ultimate Diaper Review

I never thought I’d ever write a diaper review but since I’ve had my fair share of diapering, and after trying multiple brands out there, I have now found my favorite. I am not getting paid to write this (but when did i get paid for writing reviews anyways) – However, I just wanted to share my own unsolicited feedback to see if you all agree with me and honestly, just to share my experience.

l am going to be reviewing 3 diaper brands today: Target Up & Up, Pampers Swaddlers, and The Honest Company.

First brand I tried: The first brand I tried was of course Pampers Swaddlers because they were used in the hospital we delivered Alden in and that’s what we stocked up on upon leaving with. From the get go, I really had no complains over the Swaddlers because they held up pretty well, had a pleasant scent and does not irritate Alden’s butt. BUT, it was plain – It didn’t have patterns – It was not organic/natural. Because of this, I was not satisfied. I really wanted to try the Honest diapers because lets all say this in unison mamas, THEY. ARE. CUTE. Pricey, but cute.

Second brand I tried: Although I knew that I wanted to try the Honest Company diapers, I actually tried the Target Up & Up next because I read some good reviews on it online, and another thing we can agree about it is the price. I really wanted to like this but nothing about it fit my needs. Although the sizes ran a little larger than normal, the diaper itself felt a little on the cheap side (felt like paper). Also, it didn’t hold up pretty well. I bought the smallest package and we didn’t even get to use all of it because I just wasn’t happy with it. Sorry Up & Up!

Third brand I tried: Obviously, the third and last brand I tried was the Honest Company diapers and upon buying these, I was in love. In love with the fact that they are SO cute and that to me, they weren’t that pricey. However, when I got home and after using it for the first time, I was actually disappointed because in my opinion, the diapers don’t hold up smell pretty well, or in other words.. your baby’s poop will stink – Maybe because of the whole organic/natural element to the diaper they had to take out some of the fragrance because it wasn’t in compliance with their organic seal, which sucks because I really wanted to like them. Second, I didn’t expect this to be the case at all but this is what made me really sad because we found Alden wetting/leaking his diapers EVERY night!! I even try to get up in the middle of the night to change his diaper (which I don’t do anymore since I wake up at 5 AM everyday) but in doing this, he still wets his bed every night Unfortunately because of that, we had to break-up.

The Winner: So, the obvious winner here is PAMPERS SWADDLERS!!! They still have the  best diapers out there and I don’t care what you all say, but they hold up my son’s pee at nights and THAT makes a difference. Plus, if you are a couponer or like to save some money, Pampers does a lot of cash back deals on their diapers through Checkout 51 or iBotta which are two new coupon apps that I use for my daily essentials. Check them out! All in all, I am really impressed with Pampers and I do recommend this to you guys out there. Alden is a milk monster and he doesn’t wet his bed anymore and I don’t have to change his diaper in the middle of the night. He also does not or never had diaper rash. He loves it because he is dry.

What do I use for wipes?

I’ve only used two brands thus far, 1) Pampers 2) Huggies. When I used the Pampers, I really like it because it’s so soft and upon changing to Huggies, I was a little hesitant with them because they felt more like paper. But now, the more I use my Huggies, the more I like it because it is not silky smooth like Pampers which makes it easier for me to clean his butt with. So, Huggies Natural is the winner!

Ok – I am done talking about poop and diapers. =P

xoxo, Aza
